  1. How do you regard birds? (What is your reason for feeling that way?)
    I consider birds to be special and beautiful creations of God, adding diversity to nature.
  2. How do people in India perceive birds?
    India, being a diverse country, holds varied opinions about birds. Some individuals love and keep them as pets, while others admire them flying in the sky. Additionally, some people consume birds as food.
  3. Are there numerous birds around your home?
    Certainly, birds frequent the vicinity of my home. Pigeons, crows, sparrows, and the occasional cuckoo bird are commonly spotted.
  4. Have you observed various bird species near your home?
    Yes, I have encountered a variety of birds. In addition to the regular ones around my house, I’ve seen peacocks in a neighboring village and rare species in the Chhattbir zoo, including different parrots, ostriches, and emus.
  5. Do any birds hold special significance in India? For instance, does India have a national bird?
    Yes, the peacock is our national bird, known for its captivating beauty, especially when the male displays its spread-out plumes.
  6. Do you believe birds should be protected? (Why? / Why not? How can they be protected?)
    Absolutely. Birds contribute to the beauty and diversity of our environment, serving as crucial pollinators and controlling insect populations, thus safeguarding crops. Protecting birds is vital for maintaining our ecological balance. Strict laws against capturing and selling birds, along with support from organizations like SPCA and PFA, can contribute to their protection.
  7. Do Indian people enjoy keeping pet birds?
    Yes, many individuals in India keep pet birds, such as colorful parrots and pigeons.
  8. Have you ever owned a pet bird?
    No, I have never owned a pet bird due to the considerable responsibilities involved.
