Last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends. They have just sent you some photos of your holiday.
Write a letter to your friends. In your letter,
- thank them for the photos and the holiday
- explain why you didn’t write earlier
- invite them to come and stay with you
Write at least 150 words.

Wishing you continued success. With you guys, I had a great time. I appreciate your wonderful photos that you sent me yesterday as well as the amazing holiday you had in your city.
Particularly up in the region where you are, Canada is undoubtedly a magnificent country with an amazing landscape, a lively culture, and wildlife. The holiday is over, but the way you treated me was amazing, and I will always remember it.
I apologize for the delay in responding and expressing my gratitude. I returned to Italy, and almost immediately I was swamped with office work. In addition, a bad cold kept me out of the office for several days, and I had trouble getting back into the swing of things at home and at work.
You two have my invitation to come to Italy. Next month is our parent’s 40th wedding anniversary, and I am looking forward to seeing you on this momentous occasion. I will show you around some of Italy’s most well-known locations, including Rome. Rome is renowned for its stunning cathedrals and Renaissance architecture, as well as for being home to the Vatican City and other historic Roman buildings. You will have a great time here, I’m sure.
