Question – On a recent holiday, you lost a valuable item. Fortunately, you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost.
Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company. In your letter:
- describe the item you lost
- explain how you lost it
- tell the insurance company what you would like them to do
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Sir or Madam,
This letter is to let you know that I recently misplaced my insured cell phone while on vacation in Pondicherry. It was an Apple iPhone 12, and I paid about 95,000 rupees for it. I’m hoping to receive my insurance money because your company has coverage for my cell phone.
Between May 26 and May 29, 2021, while I was visiting Pondicherry for a vacation, the incident took place. On August 28, while at Paradise Beach, I misplaced my cell phone in the sand. After more than an hour of intense searching, I couldn’t find the item. Also I filed a police report right away at the closest station; the number for the report is CH-25470145.
I would like to get the insurance amount for the lost phone because I have coverage for the mobile phone through my insurance. I have the right to an insurance refund of $85,000 for the lost item in accordance with the insurance policies. Please find attached to this letter the invoice and a copy of the FIR for the lost mobile phone.
I anticipate speaking with you shortly.
Yours faithfully,
Saurabh
