Question- Some people say that the main environmental problem of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. Others say that there are more important environmental problems.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Some contend that the greatest environmental issue facing humanity today is the extinction of specific plant and animal species, while others assert that other environmental issues are of greater significance. I concur with the earlier point of view because certain animal and plant species are essential to maintaining the equilibrium of the ecosystem.

On the one hand, we are already experiencing the effects of climate change. Natural disasters like wildfires and storms are growing more common and dangerous as a result of rising global temperatures. They even steal a lot of lives in addition to destroying our infrastructure and houses. But since there isn\’t enough scientific evidence to support a causal link between global warming and natural disasters, I don\’t believe it to be the most pressing environmental issue of our time.

Conversely, an unbalanced environment will arise from the extinction of specific animal and plant species. For instance, if the lion—the main predator—went extinct, the animals it preyed on—deer and giraffes, for example—would procreate profusely. This could seriously upset the ecosystems\’ delicate balance on Earth because they have the potential to spread disease and destroy forests. I believe that saving some plant and animal species from going extinct should be our top priority because we depend on a healthy ecosystem to give us essential resources like freshwater, clean air, and medicine.
Finally, I believe that protecting some plant and animal species is more important than others because the loss of these species will upset the ecosystem\’s delicate balance, even though climate change may have already begun to affect our lives.
